AnglicanTV Sabbath over

The next few months are going to be busy for AnglicanTV and we hope you enjoy the extra coverage. Anne Coletta is conducting some special interviews on the east coast this month and we I will be traveling to three or four general conventions. I have also penciled Mark Lawrence's Consecration into my schedule.

If you have a gmail account you can view our calendar here:

Sadly I need to ask for donations to cover these events:

  • All Saints
  • Pittsburgh General Convention -- Car Rental, Gas, Hotel ($290)
  • Fort Worth Convention -- No money needed
  • San Joaquin Convention -- No Money needed
  • Mark Lawrence Consecration -- Airport Parking, Plane, hotel, Car Rental ($450)
  • December 1st AnglicanTV is launching a new multimedia social network where churches and individuals can upload blog postings, videos, audios, and photos. We think it will revolutionize how the Anglican Communion Communicates! Imagine being able to watch or listen to podcasts from any church in the communion. -- Cost ($free)

You can earmark your donations by writing the event in the memo of your check or the message box of the paypal form. I will update how much I have raised each night at 11pm est. Thank you in advance for all of your help. You can also buy DVD's to help defray my cost.

Diocese of Fort Worth Convention

Ok. I have had a lot of requests to attend the November 16-17 convention in Fort Worth. I would be happy to go and have been in contact with the diocese about wifi and video.

To go I will need:

  • Flight bdl to dfw roundtrip: $279 with taxes
  • Airport Parking: $36
  • Enterprise rental car: $160 with taxes
  • Gas: $20
  • Room and Board: I have several couches I have been offered.

So, I will need to raise $495 $335 to attend. I will update how much I have raised each night at 11pm est. Thank you in advance for all of your help. You can also buy DVD's to help defray my cost.

Update: My expenses to Fort Worth have been cut in half because of the generosity of the Matocha family. They hosted me for the ACN Council meeting in July and are graciously opening their guest room to me again. Mrs. Matocha is also a delegate to the convention so I won't be needing that rental car either.

I have raised
$355 --
$0 to go

Thanks Jillie, Greggory (4 times), Keith, Texanglican, Jill, Anne C. and John and Randall!!!

AnglicanTV Schedule

I am taking October off... I have been traveling on and off for ATV for about 15 months now and I need a break. Don't worry -- I have loved every minute of it!

This does not mean I won't be posting more video. I have several hours of video I will be editing and posting from New Orleans, Pittsburgh and other trips. However, I won't be traveling again until I go to some Diocesan Conventions in November and December. I think the first one is Pittsburgh on the 2nd of November and the last one is San Joaquin sometime in December. I will also try to make it to Mark Lawrence's consecration and any emergency primate meetings.

I am considering going to Lambeth, but I want to see how this exciting news from Pittsburgh shakes out around the world. Also, Canterbury has not responded to the HOB yet... I wonder what they (Rowan) will say. Is Rowan going to be real or is he still the only optimist left in the Anglican Communion?

So thank you all for your prayers, donations, and volunteering. Special thanks goes to ATV Reporter Anne Coletta, Richard Naff (huge donation and technical assistant in Bedford, TX) , and Rolin Bruno (technical assistant in New Orlreans).

Also, AnglicanTV has a new treasurer (Andrew Barnett) and we will be filing for 501(3) status. This means I will be getting more serious about fund raising and traveling to more venues.

Sharing His Victory,

Kevin

New Orleans

The entire communion is on pins and needles right now. Every Primate statement, movement and email is being analyzed every which way. If someone in Canterbury speaks, we want to know who they are speaking for. Whenever a Global South Primate speaks we want to know if they wrote it themselves.

Let us all take a step back and relax. September should be a time we are praying for all the Primates and Bishops. You need to pray in earnest for clergy friend or foe. If you have been visiting Anglican Blogs for more than an hour today you know I am talking to YOU.

I should also mention I need to raise some money for my trip to New Orleans and Pittsburgh. So many of you have requested I attend the Common Cause meeting I had my plane ticket changed so I fly directly to Pittsburgh on the 25th -- then home on Saturday the 29th.

I need to raise an additional $500 to cover my plane ticket changes and rent-a-car in NO. I will update how much I have raised each night at 10pm est. Thank you in advance for all of your help. You can also buy DVD's to help defray my cost. Each video on Anglican TV can be obtained as a DVD.

You can donate my sending a check to:

PO Box 535

Or send paypal money to AnglicanTV@gmail.com

UPDATE: I have raised $625. Thanks John G, Gloria, William, Joel, Joanie, Jessica, Robert and anonymous.

Schedule

This weeks schedule:
September 12 - Interview with Bishop Murdoch
September 13 - Raw video from Mbarara Uganda Road Trip
September 14 - Consecration of Atwood and Murdoch
September 16 - Interview with Dr Stephen Noll
September 17 - TBA
September 20-25 HOB meeting in New Orleans
September 25-28 Common Cause in Pittsburgh

Also, AnglicanTV is looking for more videographer volunteers. If you are interested please contact me at anglicantv@gmail.com.

Thank You... again

Through your incredible sacrificial donations I have raised enough money to fly from Hartford to Kenya; Kenya to Uganda; and then Uganda to home. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

I have just purchased my plane tickets and will take the train into Manhattan on Friday to get my visas for Kenya and Uganda.

I wasn't able to raise enough for the hotel and taxi yet, but I am not worried about that. Getting there is 90% of the battle.

Sharing His Victory,

Update: Urgent Request

We raised $2100 -- Thank you

I want to thank all those who have donated their prayers and money over the last year. Your abundant resources have brought this fledgling ministry from a meager audience to a global phenomenon. Almost every week AnglicanTV is able to post fresh video of interviews, news and events; and now we can broadcast live streaming video from almost any venue.

As you are aware Bishop-Elect Bill Atwood and Bishop-Elect John Guernsey will be traveling to Africa at the end of this month, and will be Anglican Bishops when they return. AnglicanTV would love to bring you video coverage of this historical event.

In order to do this we need to raise a total of $2500. This amount includes airfare, hotels, and meals (I do not take a salary from AnglicanTv... yet). As of 5pm on Tuesday, August 07, 2007 I have raised $1100 for Africa trip.

By Monday, August 13th, We need to raise the remaining $1400. Please consider donating. You can donate using the paypal button or by sending a check. If you send a check to AnglicanTV, please email us so we can apply the amount to the total. We will be posting updates here every night with the results of the fundraising effort. If you wish -- your church (or diocese) can also donate to AnglicanTV.

There is no way I can possible thank you enough. This is a very humbling experience. Everyday I thank God for broadband and YOU!
