GAFCON UPDATE

It's Official! As of 7:40pm est 5/2/2008 AnglicanTV has raised enough money to attend GAFCON. For those of you who were wondering if your $5 or $10 contribution was really worth the effort - the answer is a resounding YES!!. 60% of the money raised was in amounts smaller than $20.

Thank You for your prayers and your efforts.

Thanks,

I just wanted to add a quick note of thank to everyone in California. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the thousands of you who watch AnglicanTV and by your warmth and hospitality for me when I visit. I eagerly await my return in May to videotape the Anglican Men's Weekend. I will have better quality online videos of Archbishop Venables posted Friday evening when I return to Connecticut. I also have a great interview with him I will post next Monday.

Sharing His Victory,

Kevin

Live Streaming from Diocese of San Joaquin

Please stay tuned and remember all times are pacific. At 2:00 pm I will be live streaming a Personal Seminar with Archbishop Gregory Venables. He will be speaking from St James Anglican Cathedral in San Joaquin. This will be a two hour event. Then at 7:00pm I will be broadcasting a Festal Eucharist with Archbishop Venables and Bishop David Schofield.

Financial ASAP Request for GAFCON

AnglicanTV needs your financial help ASAP. We have just received an official invitation to GAFCON hosted in Jerusalem June 22-29. In order to go I need to raise $1800 for the plan ticket and $1800 for the conference fee which includes food, travel, hotel, and several tours in the Holy Land I can tape and post on AnglicanTV. I am the only video Christian Press with an invitation and I can't imagine missing the biggest Anglican news story this decade because I could not raise enough money to go.  The reason I list this as an ASAP request is that the US dollar is declining in valude and each day I delay in my purchase the more I will need to raise.

Upgrades

Since June of 2006 we have traveled the world providing you with internet videos of sermons, interviews, news, events, consecrations, conferences, and the list goes on. It has been a fun and glorious 20 months and now AnglicanTV is proud to announce we are accepting user submitted videos!

Starting today anyone (people, churches, ministries, etc) can upload their videos to AnglicanTV.

So -- if you tape your Sunday Sermons and want to share them with the world -- AnglicanTV is your place.

Please visit http://www.anglicantv.org/go2/yourvideo/ for more information.

No More DIVX

I was just visiting the site that hosted our divx movies and found this Message. Apparently Stage6 is no longer able to provide a service to host videos. I will be spending the next month transferring all the divx videos to our new internal system. This will negate the ability to download videos for now. Sorry.

So -- if AnglicanTV was the only reason you used divx you are welcome to uninstall it.

Website Information

AnglicanTV has tried in the past to be as bleeding edge as possible to deliver you the finest quality videos. 20 months ago we started by using google video to host our videos and then this fall we tested divx and a couple other external solutions for a month or two.

Sadly Google Video doesn't allow me the quality I need and DIVX doesn't work with older computers and slow internet connections. Leaving AnglicanTV with fustrated viewers.

The only solution is to work with an internal system that allows me to output higher quality videos at a connection speed that will serve anyone with DSL or Cable modem speeds.

After laying out a chunk of change I have installed the system this weekend and will be adding my entire library of 300 tapes to it over the coming months.

The biggest difference with the new system is that it will be hosted on our home page www.anglicantv.org and not on this blog. This blog will only announce new videos from now on. The new videos will all be found on the home page.

I hope this new system will bless you.

All is Well

It took a while to get back to normal after my sickness two weeks ago. As of Wednesday (this week) I am back to 100% and even taped a lengthy interview with Bishop NT Wright this afternoon at Yale. I will post it tomorrow.

Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Next week I will be posting the Dr. Green "Sharing your Faith" Conference too.

Sharing His Victory,

Kevin

Prayer Request

I am on a video shoot for the ACN in VA this weekend. I am taping the Sharing Your Faith Evangelism conference with Michael Green.

When Michael arrived on Thursday he came down with a terrible cold and is currently resting between bronchitis and pneumonia. He was unable to attend yesterdays clergy conference.

Last night I got food poisoning and spent the entire night dry heaving in the bath room.

Please pray for the speakers, the hundreds of attendees and yours truly.

thanks

Kevin
