Lambeth 2008: A Conversation with Archbishop Venables

Comments
Rev Tim Mildenhall's Gravatar I'm a long way from Canterbury (here in NW Western Australia), but even I can see that Anglican friends who are attending Lambeth are intent on ignoring GAFCON and now, what FOCA stands for.
For instance, before he left for Lambeth, the Archbishop of Perth was quoted in our state wide newspaper, saying that Lambeth would get on and talk about "more important matters" than GAFCON.
Thanks Archbishop Venables, for cutting through the bomfog to the ultimate realities. Yes, the Anglican communion is not going to last forever. One day it will exist no longer. But the kingdom of God is forever.

James's Gravatar The title of this video is wrong - Venables said it much better in the interview.

God was present in power at Lambeth in 1998

God was present in power at GAFCON 2008

1998 was the "Last Lambeth". With 250 bishops representing 80% of Anglicans not attending; a large portion of the remainder not taking communion; and Canterbury overrun with heretics and gays;

GAFCON 2008 was the true Lambeth (and in fact the true ACC). The GAFCON Primate's council is the true Primates' meeting. And Akinola is the true ABC.

BettyLee Payne's Gravatar What a great interview, Kevin. Thanks be to God for you and all that you are doing for Him which is a great help and encouragement to so many people. Archbishop Venables is a man of God and a real leader for Christ in our time. You can hear the pain he feels about all of this. Pray for him. Pray for all of our faithful Anglican leaders. They will only go where God leads them.
