Update: Urgent Request

We raised $2100 -- Thank you

I want to thank all those who have donated their prayers and money over the last year. Your abundant resources have brought this fledgling ministry from a meager audience to a global phenomenon. Almost every week AnglicanTV is able to post fresh video of interviews, news and events; and now we can broadcast live streaming video from almost any venue.

As you are aware Bishop-Elect Bill Atwood and Bishop-Elect John Guernsey will be traveling to Africa at the end of this month, and will be Anglican Bishops when they return. AnglicanTV would love to bring you video coverage of this historical event.

In order to do this we need to raise a total of $2500. This amount includes airfare, hotels, and meals (I do not take a salary from AnglicanTv... yet). As of 5pm on Tuesday, August 07, 2007 I have raised $1100 for Africa trip.

By Monday, August 13th, We need to raise the remaining $1400. Please consider donating. You can donate using the paypal button or by sending a check. If you send a check to AnglicanTV, please email us so we can apply the amount to the total. We will be posting updates here every night with the results of the fundraising effort. If you wish -- your church (or diocese) can also donate to AnglicanTV.

There is no way I can possible thank you enough. This is a very humbling experience. Everyday I thank God for broadband and YOU!

---Kevin

Jill C.'s Gravatar Kevin, I think you meant Monday, August 13 rather than July 13, right?

There's a song by Scott Wesley Brown or one of those guys who was popular in CCM back in the 80s and 90s that goes, "please don't send me to Africa!" But I will hit the button and help send you to Africa! ;)

The Lakeland Two's Gravatar Scott Wesley Brown??? "I Wish You Jesus"!!!! I was just thingking about him Wednesday night during Bible Study - we are studying discipleship and were talking about barriers to witnessing to non-believers. I had the pleasure of "seeing him in concert" - at a church in Fort Myers, FL. He is/was delightful, has a great sense of humor AND a great voice. I loved his story about how he acted when he first became a Christian, trying to fit in (actually making fun of those who do this)...Putting notches on his Bible cover for "souls" saved, Highlighting multiple passages just so it "looked" like he did/had done a lot of study, etc. It was great.

Annnnyyyhooowwww......

Sending a donation for today (small for you, large for us). We have a big bill we're paying on the 19th. We are looking at our budget to see what's available montly. We've on disability income, so funds are limited...but we'll come up with "something" because we believe in what you are doing...and do buy the roundtrip!

Mom's Gravatar Please send enough money so that Kevin can purchase a round trip ticket as we need him back in CT in order to keep up our family video family projects plus he is a great Dad to 3 children and hubby, to Jill! Thanks--a grateful parent, who salutes her son in his communication ministry.

The Lakeland Two's Gravatar Anyway to get this up on StandFirm or BabyBlue or T19? SF raised 2500 in less than 24 hours, but I think they may have more traffic. Just a thougt.
